Reporting On Companies Who Still Advertise on the Rush Limbaugh Show

In my post this morning I provided a list of companies who reportedly advertised on Rush Limbaugh’s show. I have personally called them and this is my report of what I have learned.

1. Pro-flowers: Their sales line was so busy that I was automatically disconnected.

2. Sleep Train: No longer advertising

3. e-harmoney: No longer advertising

4. Carbonite: Carbonite has not discontinued their support of the show. The representative I spoke with simply said that they advertised with a wide variety of shows, and that the views expressed did not represent theirs. I explained that by advertising on his show they are making it possible for him to use a public radio show to give voice to his foul and distasteful comments. UPDATE: ”Brenda” with Auto Zone called and indicated they do not advertise with the Rush Limbaugh show.

9. Legal Zoom: They indicated they are “looking into this matter.” You can reach them at 800-773-0888 to encourage to look a little faster.

11. American Forces Network: I contacted various numbers and got a message at each. The number that I would recommend you call is 301-222-6236 which is the number for T.V. and radio show contacts. You can also reach them by e-mail at American Forces [e-mail].

Thus the following companies need further encouragement to discontinue their advertising on the Rush Limbaugh show:

2. I just called Oreck and was told they do not advertise on rush

they said they do not do any radio advertizing

I have taken the reference to them out of my OP. That may well be true that the information is incorrect, or that they are lying, or that they have bought package ads and do not realize it.

3. This website reports that Autozone was running ads but has pulled them

Autozone said their ads on Limbaugh's show were run by mistake, whatever that means.

Limbaugh's program, offer products for sale, or sponsor any of the programs
we relay to our audience.

"The American Forces Network does not censor content and we do not seek to
protect our overseas Department of Defense audience from hearing views with
which they may disagree. Our mission is to offer program choices, which
includes both the one-hour versions and three-hour version of various
popular political talk shows.

I have always objected to Rush Limbaugh's highly partisan, hate- filled show
being broadcast to the troops--and having my tax dollars pay for it. His
vilifying Sandra Fluke leads me to once again request a better use of my
money, particularly on behalf of the women in the military who do not feel
safe from the men around them. Are Rush's values the values our military
fights for?

I suspect a fair amount of these people just assume that everything must be fine, or at least not all that terrible, since nobody steps up to make a stink about it.

Well that's CHANGED! And if it hasn't changed enough, we have to push it harder!!!

9. I filed a 475B complaint form with the FCC against Clear Channel Rush's employer

I suggest everyone go to the FCC web site and file a 475B against Clear Channel the company that employs Rush. You want their attention go after their license.
