I always hear "blame for this shutdown is not just on republicans

but also on those who sat out the 2010 elections".

Who here sat out the 2010 election? Just for curiosity's sake.

I didn't but apparently a lot of people did.

Anybody on DU willing to share?

1. Not only did I not sit it out (never do) my State broke midterm turnout records

and the other States in the region also did just fine. I hear back east lots of 'moderate centrist' candidates failed to attract voters.

It's looking like complaining about sitting home at the 2010 election, is more directed to people outside of DU. At least that's what I'll take away from it when I here it on DU. Either that or people just like bitching at the choir.
