In case You Missed This... And YOU SHOULD NOT... Laura Ingraham: ‘Sob stories’ from injured veterans

Laura Ingraham: ‘Sob stories’ from injured veterans will make GOP cave on shutdown
By David Ferguson - RawStory
Tuesday, October 1, 2013 11:55 EDT

<snip>

Fox News contributor and sometime “O’Reilly Factor” host Laura Ingraham predicted on “Fox and Friends” Tuesday morning that the government shutdown will end when the media starts pushing “sob stories” about injured veterans who can’t get care because of the federal closure.

Republicans in Congress, she said, will inevitably cave in to demands to reopen the government when people try to force them feel guilty for shutting down programs to help people who were hurt or traumatized serving the country in combat.

After briefly rejoicing that the shutdown will make it so much easier to drive during the day in Washington, D.C., Ingraham announced that the whole shutdown debacle should be called the “Countdown to Cave-In” because she knows that establishment Republicans will be too cowardly to hold the line.

“It’s only a matter of time, in my mind,” she opined, “before the Republicans say ‘We can’t keep doing this’ because the sob stories are going to start coming out. You’re gonna have camera crews on veterans’ counseling centers where you’re gonna interview, ‘Yeah, your appointment’s been canceled today, who do you blame?’”

She continued...

If he/she has any question about Ingraham's views. According to Ingraham, vet's stories about their injuries, suffering, etc. --after being in WAR FOR THIS COUNTRY -- are "sob stories." That says it all.

These fucking people exploit the troops and vets every chance they get with their insincere, phony lip service. It's only in moments like these that what they really think of us (and our "sob stories&quot is revealed in all its ugly splendor.

She's talking about people who--for whatever reason and however right or wrong the cause--served our country and at one time lay bleeding on the battlefield in a faraway jungle or the desert from AK-47 rounds or a leg blown away by an RPG.

And they style THEMSELVES as the patriots.

ages and 12 at the time, asking me, "Why are you crying, Daddy?" It fell to my wife to explain that Dad wasn't sad so much as speechless with fury. Even now, the remembrance of seeing those Repig "patriots" mocking the decoration which I earned twice, and paid a steeper price than they can imagine; causes my gut to clench right along with my fists.
That night in 2004, for the first time in 33 years, I wanted to kill someone.

The disrespect those fools showed with their "purpleheart bandaids", enraged me also. What made it even worse, was the veteran's organizations that remained silent. This should never be forgotten.

I swear very well in English, fairly well in Japanese, and in decreasing levels of skill in Italian, German, French, Russian, Yiddish, Spanish, and Tagalog.

With such a large tool box available to me, the word which could adequately express my contempt for the life-form masquerading as a human news show host was that old American classic "bitch".

I do however want to retract the "text and drive" portion, that would needlessly endanger other drivers.

For example if you call someone a bastard (closest male equivalent I can think of) it is not particularly damning and even humorous.

Bitch doesn't just mean a disagreeable person but, for many, projects an image of a person who has an aggressive countenance, is not physically attractive and someone that should not be spreading genes in the gene pool.

By observing the use of the word for over fifty years, I had defined B***h as pompous, unempathetic, elitist, hate filled female human. I have never called a man bi**h, for that matter I have never called a man a lady.

Bastard is a unisex term, it means child of unmarried parents. I can't think of as curse which is exclusively male (other than slang words for male genitalia). I did not and would not reduce her to a being merely a sexual organ. That would be going too far.

I do feel sorry that other people have a different definition for the word than the one I am familiar with and therefore were offended. I do see Laura Ingraham as a cold blooded manipulative, opportunistic, elitist, working for an organization which harms society by fear mongering and race baiting via direct falsehoods. My choice of word stands.
