What the situation actually needs is tar & feathers for the GOP - at the very least - until they get the Tea Party under control.

But in the meantime, it is nice to keep in mind that there are still wonderful Texan women who carry on the tradition of Molly Ivins & Ann Richards. And it's either laughter or tears. I prefer laughter, although it too often turns to tears because of those who suffer from GOP greed, hypocrisy and selfishness..

I sincerely hope that younger generations of Texans have a LOT more women like Helen (Margaret is in New Engliand) and her ilk. They will need every single one. The stupid runs very deep there with the non-stop emphasis on god, guns, gerrymandering and genitals of Texan GOP politicians.

Wendy Davis is an excellent start. But more are needed.

5. LOL--tar and feathers. I've been thinking it's time to bring back the stocks

set up on the steps of the Capitol Building. Verbal abuse, only, of course
for the imprisoned one.

Wouldn't you like a chance to force Boehner to be on display and made to
listen to the opinions of some real people?

Guy would probably be happy to choose tar/feathers and a ride on a rail
out of town after that.
