GOP members grow increasingly hostile towards Cruz - for leading them into shutdown w/o exit plan

GOP members grow increasingly hostile towards Cruz

As the government shutdown continues and blame continues to spread, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is coming under fire once again from his members of his own party.

Following a closed-door lunch meeting Wednesday, Politico reported that senators leaving the meeting, who requested not to be named, bashed Cruz for leading the way into the shutdown without a plan to get out.

“It was very evident to everyone in the room that Cruz doesn’t have a strategy – he never had a strategy, and could never answer a question about what the end-game was,” said one senator who attended the meeting, according to Politico. “I just wish the 35 House members that have bought the snake oil that was sold could witness what was witnessed today at lunch.”

Cruz, who led a 21-hour speech protesting the Affordable Care Act last week, is now calling the situation “Harry Reid’s shutdown.”

In response to the criticism from his fellow Republican senators, Cruz told Politico that “It seems that there is nothing the media likes to cover more than disagreements among Republicans, and apparently some senators are content to fuel those stories with anonymous quotes.”

He will be a superhero to the imbecile crowd and that's been his target all along.

I just heard some Repub on the radio talking about how Cruz may be the foundation of a new direction for the Republican party just like Reagan was.

cruz has the beck network, and all the beckerheads, behind him.

It looks like were the gop is headed to a full on 3rd-Party rumble ... And that's likely to work out well for Democrats in 2014.

He came off as affable and disarming, even while he was signing legislation to enable genocide in Central America. Cruz is a flamethrower and is openly malicious and contemptuous of his opponents and even his allies. He's got an ego that's almost Palin-esque and at the end of the day, he'll only please a small base of true believers. But, it won't be any skin off my nose if teabaggers don't figure that out until after they've selected him as their primary candidate for president in 2016.

The Republicans who blame him alone for the cesspool they find themselves drowning in are being unfair. As far as I know, Cruz didn't point a gun at them, hold them hostage, or threaten their families. They went along with him on their own, and they are just as responsible as he is for the resultant fiasco.

They're mad because there's no end game? Did any one of them think to ask that question before they followed him off the cliff into the stinking pond?

Hi, this is station AWOL,
Coming to you from from over the hill at Bob Bar city
I'm gonna sing if I come back tonight,
Can I still keep my stripes or have I stayed away too long?

Beat me, bite me, whip me, fuck me, like the dirty pig that I am
Cum all over my tits and tell 'em that you love me
Then get the fuck out

Hey, keep it going boys
We're coming right on back, but we're gonna go the other way though
Fuck me, whip me, bite me, beat me, like the dirty dog that I am
And leave me, and then get the fuck out

(Beat me) like the dirty pig that I am
Cum all over my tits and tell 'em that you love me
(Bite me) then get the fuck out
Beat me, bite me, and whip me

Now look out, boys, the big dog's gonna move on in
Here's what they call a wildfire
Yeah, coming on
Come on back, boy

Hey, big boy, if you can't run with the big dog,
You better stay on the porch

Hey, get it
Beat me, bite me, whip me, like the dirty dog that I am
Cum all over my tits and tell 'em that you love me
Then get the fuck out

Hit that, drummerboy
Beat me, bite me, whip me, fuck me, like the dirty pig that I am
Cum all over my tits and tell 'em that you love me
Then get the fuck out

See'mon
Get going
Then get out

I think they are just starting to catch on that the damage was the point here. Of course they are pissed. They know they must act responsibly to stop this insane shutdown and they also know that they will face primary challenges from extremists on their right next year.
