I completely agree with this! I'm not offended by any of these...if someone said one of these phrases to me, I would simply say thank you and respond in kind.
I don't understand what the big deal is either.
Edited to add one that isn't in the picture but should be! Thank You Peacebird!

(82,383 posts)I have relatives among the "victimized Christians" crowd who are going to say Merry Christmas (because it is persecuting them to say some people don't celebrate it and Happy Holidays is more neutral).

(16,350 posts)The War on the 'War on Christmas' is just contrived and, well, dumb. Gets people's panties in a bunch over absolutely nothing.
Who can go anywhere and not see CHRISTMAS all over the place?
I like your graphic, but I'd say black folks generally don't celebrate Kwanzaa in lieu of Christmas. (Not that I'd think this is news to you.)

(14,195 posts)The OP is all about not taking offense at any happy holiday greeting, regardless of religion. Why are you singling out Muslims?
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
