So many people fail to understand this is a threat to Democracy

If the President compromises now. Majority. rule is finished and we will be lead by extremists. Maybe it's time to take to the streets and explain it to others how dire this is.

dictatorship, especially when the chief dictator is Ted Cruz. If he gets his way we will be on our way for a Cruz as dictator. He does not respect majority rule, he has beat up Congressional members and now they are afraid of him and he is the one who has dictated the votes they are taking.

But it is time to make it clear to everybody we know that this is about democracy and how you cannot allow a small group of extremists hold you hostage to their demands. Which is what the GOP is doing.

The GOP hates government -- not too surprising since they totally suck at actually doing it -- so this is their fantasy of a 'winning' strategy. Their big donors fund the 'hate government' movement because they see an opportunity for obscene profits once free of gov't interference.

The rightwing media pushes the 'hate government' scenario because their incessant message of fear and lies builds ratings that generates revenues to pay all those bloviating celebrities who do the yeoman's work of propping up the flailing GOP.

No matter that the GOP's policies have become more and more unhinged as they cater to the crazy conspiracy theory paranoia of an ever diminishing bloc of crackpot fringe voters. No worries man, their vote rigging scams and voter suppression tactics will just eliminate the competition.

Today's GOP is offering a choice between their version a Herrenvolk democracy, fascism, or straight out anarchy, any of which poses a threat to our form of government. However, they are still in the minority -- and may they stay that way due to their bungling attempts at extortion -- so let's hope the old adage, "Out of chaos, comes order", will prevail.
