This was just posted on their facebook wall:
"A rep at Proflowers just told me the decision has been made to NOT pul ads. Instead, Proflowers has decided to continue placing ads on the Limbaugh show and continue supporting Rush and his views."

Considering their owner is affiliated with the Koch Brothers, this comes as no surprise.

(5,453 posts)but sadly, it's true.
ProFlowers - when you want to show the woman in your life how you REALLY feel about her. (And it ain't got nothing to do with love)

They advertise on liberal shows as well.

(83 posts)Rush's non-apology is too little too late.
Tell Amazon you will stop online purchasing until ProFlowers stops advertising on Rush!
Email: amazon-pr@amazon.com
Dear Amazon,
I can just imagine this year's mother's day: nothing says "I love you mom" like a gift delivered by a company who thinks it's perfectly acceptable to call a woman a slut and prostitute, only because you don't agree with her point of view.
Tell ProFlowers to stops sponsoring Rush Limbaugh or we'll stop shopping on Amazon.
Sincerely,
A customer.

(5,390 posts)I would like to assure you that I will look elsewhere to purchase flowers on Mothers Day. You evidently do not understand our concerns or value our feedback. I'm sure there are plenty of other places that you could spend your advertising dollars, that do not hold such revolting views regarding women. Since the majority of your sales are gifts for women I find your non-action on this issue as an approval of the vile hate speech that Rush spews from his radio show.
While reading the other post on FB, I found this one regarding Carbonite....
Yay to Carbonite for pulling their ads and issuing this statement: "No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.

(27,677 posts)If Proflowers agrees with Rush and his views (that women who have sex outside of wedlock are sluts) then using them would be an endorsement Rush and his repugnant views on women.
Support local florists by using: LocateAFlowershop.com or FTD.com.

(6,407 posts)Here is what I had sent:
My husband and I have been customers for many years. If you continue to advertise with the odious Rush Limbaugh, we will be withdrawing as customers and buying our flowers elsewhere. Limbaugh should be taken off the air. He has become part of the problem of poisonous discourse in America, and you can help remove him.
Here is what they answered:
Thank you for your feedback. We spend our advertising dollars across a wide spectrum of media channels. The views and opinions of the media outlets and personalities we advertise with are not necessarily those of our company.
We simply wish to delight our customers with fresh and unique gifting products, and that will continue to happen to the best of our abilities.
Best Regards,
