They have used it to beat down many, many things over the decades, but of course the worst one is health care.
And the most ignorant of our society - those who truly do not know what "socialism" means - have bought into it, the upshot being that the Dittoheads, Foxbots, etc. now equate any sort of social welfare effort with Stalin, Lenin, Marx and whoever else they can think of.
I remember seeing a bumper sticker during the Clinton Presidency with the words "Clinton Change" in gold on red, with the "C's" replaced with hammer and sickles.
...they are consistently immoral and depraved.
