1. Libertarians like Cato are good on a handful of issues. The surveillance state is one of them.

Drug prohibition is another.

And anti-interventionist foreign policy.

2. CATO was founded by Charles Koch. While their symposiums are always interesting, one must keep a

sharp eye on those who do more than merely speak at their conferences. For example, those writing policy papers, or those engaged in paid speaking tours, or attending donor benefits should be regarded with the Koch-money influence in mind, no?
