Too much misinformation!!!

Sometimes I hate being a Liberal. Conservatives can go off half-cocked and just scream buzz-words and talking points hand-fed to them, or even failing that, they can just say whatever the hell they want! It's okay, the GOP has a habit of creating its own alternate reality. I actually research to discredit their claims and they just circle back around with one of their insane lies. I feel like I'm being outflanked because their lies make them so much faster on their feet than my truth.

Just an observation.

Usually I word things in a way that will push their buttons enough to start spilling hateful things and just leave them hanging.

Like all the lies about Obamacare, they're catching up to them as people find out that the ACA is a good thing for the people it was designed to help.

Thinking and acting rationally is a learned behavior. I don't think it's a natural behavior.

Maybe that's why the Republicans are so against education, which is humans' one best hope to rise above their natural knee jerk reactions.

Critical thinking is not natural. That's the one big challenge for the 21st century, IMHO. It's causing a huge amount of damage.

I've always thought that about education. Obviously dumbing down the masses with a contentless 24-hour news cycle, schlock TV programming, defunding PBS, and yes, defunding public education have all contributed to the rise of this subspecies throw-back known as the TEA Party.
