Bernie Sanders is right - "Obamacare is just the tip of the iceberg"

Entitlements are their Grand Bargain and Wet Dream. Compromise? That is their compromise. Cut, gut, these government programs. Feed your money into Wall Street, 401K's, portfolios. Opt out of SS and have private accounts. Medicare? Well, with a big fat portfolio you won't need government health care. Pay for your own medical bills and retirement. Can't? Well, either just keep working for a FOR PROFIT business (at even less than minimum wage), or DIE because you are a lazy ass member of society. These programs are just WELFARE. Obama made a big mistake in the past for ever throwing them this bone.

I really hope that the President and Democrats can see, as Bernie Sanders does, what the real agenda here is.

They've got nearly all of the media pushing the false equivalency 22.5/7.

Their are many things on the GOP wish list and you can be assured that at each and every oppertunity they will demand another pound of flesh. Just some of the things we know will be demanded.........

•A one-year delay of the Affordable Care Act
•Instructions for tax reform, under Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-Wis.) budget
•Keystone XL Pipeline construction
•An overhaul of Dodd-Frank regulations
•More offshore oil drilling
•Means testing Medicare
•Suspending the Environmental Protection Agency's efforts to regulate carbon emissions
•Repeal of the Public Health Trust Fund

You can bet it wont stop there. Anything from minimum wage laws to the 17th amendment (by you're senator directly) will eventually be used as 'negotiation points'.

And this doesn't even touch their social reform objectives. In short....

We will extend the debt limit if the following condition is met ________________ (fill in the blank with you're least favorite GOP wish list item.

The blackmail must stop now.

It is a fucking Republican word with negative connotations meant to denigrate those who receive them. They created that word to do damage and damage it does.
I worked my ass off for 50 effing years paying in SS and Medicare from day 1. So for 50 years I helped those who went before me, because they also contributed.
It is not an ENTITLEMENT!

Sorry, but I have been hearing that word all day. Every time it is spoken another Repub lie gets blessed.

I fear those Democrats who would also like to end them.

Not too long ago, the DLC openly boasted of a goal to set up "Private Accounts" to reform Social Security. Though they haven't been so outspoken since the market crash of 2007, I have few doubts that they are being financed by the same Wall Street money that helped buy their seats for them.
Those guys/gals (Blue Dogs, 3rd Way, "New" Democrats, Centrists) need close watching to keep them true to traditional Democratic Party Working Class/LABOR Issues.

I want a party that will STAND UP for Working Americans."
