Senate GOP: Boehner has 24-48 hours to act or we're moving on our own

House Speaker John Boehner has a day or two max to strike a debt ceiling and government funding deal before some of his Republican Senate colleagues move more aggressively on their own ideas, several impatient GOP Senators have told CNN.

The Senators say they are willing to give Boehner a bit more time, about 24 to 48 hours, to come to an agreement with the White House to raise the debt ceiling and reopen the government.

One option Boehner is currently pursuing, a six week increase to the debt ceiling, is becoming more and more unpopular, say multiple Senate GOP sources.

but what can they really do? The Senate already sent a bill to the House, so really all Boehner has to do is call a vote on it. What more can they do besides get vocal since they are in the Senate?

I guess they can tell House Republicans that they won't vote on their local funding stuff if they don't make something happen. But in this Congress nothing is happening so it's not like those Republicans are getting anything as it stands now.

Bypass Boehner for one vote. And reopen the Government and raise the Debt ceiling all in one shot.

Completely remove Boner out of the equation thus ending his reign and deflating his giant orange head down to a pumkin pancake which taste very good!

Only 18 House Republicans are needed. Surely there are 18 reasonable House Republicans? That's not that many. Less than a 10th.

...and then the House will HAVE to vote on it? Which would likely expose Boehner for the weakling he is if enough Republicans join with Democrats in the House to end this madness.

Okay, so most people would file income taxes and that handles that huge portion.

I guess they need to add a frazillion million to check to see if John Brown really made
$15,000 or $15600 or whatever the cutoffs are.

Not saying its a bad idea....but the cost of implementing it.......will it be worth it?
Or will it be like testing all welfare recipients for drug use?

Would make a lot of Tea Crazies happy....well, no, it wouldn't...cuz Obama would never
actually DO that now, would he?
