Genocidal Maniac Columbus Lands in New World on this Date

Let's Celebrate Centuries of Genocide, Slavery, and the Conquest of the USA with a National Holiday!

One aspect of this history is very much overlooked, the percentage of Native American DNA in Europeans due to slave transport to Spain and Spanish lands in the Old World and Pacific (such as Holland and the Phillipines).

Native History: Columbus—Icon and Genocidal Maniac—Lands in New World

Christina Rose - 10/12/13 - http://indiancountrytodaymedianetwork.com/2013/10/12/native-history-columbus-icon-and-genocidal-maniac-lands-new-world-151685

This Date in Native History: On October 12, 1492, Christopher Columbus landed on the island of Guanahani, now known as the Bahamas, wreaking hell and havoc as he went. The son of a weaver, Columbus left Spain with three ships and 39 crew members in the hopes of gaining fame and wealth.

As Columbus approached land, the local Natives, the Arawaks, swam out to greet the ships. Columbus later wrote, “They are so naive and so free with their possessions that no one who has witnessed them would believe it,” and “They do not bear arms, and do not know them, for I showed them a sword, they took it by the edge and cut themselves out of ignorance... They would make fine servants... With 50 men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.”

In a search for gold, of which there was very little, Columbus enslaved, murdered, and inflicted every sort of inhumane misery upon those gentle people.

With 17 additional ships and 1,200 men, Columbus promised to bring back as much gold and slaves as anyone could want. In 1495, they “rounded up” 1,500 Arawak men, women and children, chose 500 of the best, of which 200 died en route to Spain. ....

What is the appropriate celebration method? Attending a Redskins game?
I really resent this being a holiday.

that someone was going to figure out iron, guns, navigation and have enough capital to put them to the use in search of "wealth".

The desire of societies that have such things to acquire and control empire is very strong and so universal as to seem 'human'.

The are crimes against humanity of the most despicable order. Societies do NOT have desires, people do.
People who seek to conquer the world and impose their religion and social order are despicable also.
Stealing gold from others by killing them is not searching, it is criminal behavior.

whether it's 1492 or 2013. Columbus had no excuse for being a genocidal maniac. Unfortunately greedy parasites tend to find positions of power, so there was no one or no organization that could stop him or his supporters.
