Oh snap! Shrub's recent heart problems were far more dangerous than generally believed

-- potentially life-threatening, in fact.

Sources familiar with the former president's medical situation told National Journal that a major blockage in a coronary artery discovered during Bush's annual physical exam in August had almost completely shut off blood flow to one of his heart chambers.

"He was more than 95% occluded," an authoritative source said. "With a blockage like that in a main artery you're supposed to die. He was pretty lucky they caught it."

Sigh..there is, of course, always a chance he will get a mechanical heart like Cheney.
how fortunate that he has such good health care......

that his ignorance and gullibility were responsible more than anything for the mess this country today finds itself in?

"don't hassle the poor guy. He coulda died, ya know"

Well fuck him. He needs to come to terms with what a shitty job he did and how badly he screwed the rest of us. I hope it doesn't kill him, but what's going to happen, will happen.

I've already pissed on ronald reagan's grave at his "library" in Simi Valley (this was before they put security people there, I just jumped the fence and pissed on it)

With the means to obtain the best medical care available, he allows such an occlusion to go undiagnosed to the point that it became life-threatening. Don't tell me the 'war pretzeldent' was all a-skeered of needles!

I have a known blockage in the main artery. 80% not stentable. They check it every year or if I whine about symptoms.

The symptoms are very easy to discount to a busy schedule and not enough sleep, age, or I shouldn't have eaten pizza yesterday type of thing even after known block it's still easy to discount. Mine was found by pure accident. Even now that it's known the testing nearly always comes back as normal..... which means the blockage is not bad enough to pick up by the test. That's at 80%.

My husband was completely symptom free until the day of his heart attack. Was 98% blocked in 3 places and a blood clot is what stopped the hole up and created the heart attack. This is a man who physically worked hard every day. No symptoms. No reason to go get expensive medical tests.

So it does not shock me that a reasonably healthy man with the best medical care in the world would not know he was blocked at 90+percent.

All that said, I bear the man no good will - or bad will for that matter. I just want him out of our lives and I'd be perfectly happy if he lived a long life painting his own feet and not bothering anyone.

I just got a picture of Bush Baby painting some kind of designs on his feet. Or maybe painting his toenails. I figure he doesn't have a lot to do these days.
