and fund Gov. thru Jan. 15.
Breaking News just said.
Ok, someone here called this, in a post of this late morning.Maybe you remember which one it was.
Saying it was all theater to bring about austerity.
A deficit reduction panel, eh?
Any guesses what they will come up with?
Hint: it will NOT be serious Defense cuts.
It wil NOT be fraud and waste in Gov. programs.

(11,101 posts)Because the big banks want it. Certainly a lot easier for most Democrats to be "forced" into austerity by those crazy Republicans than to admit they are for it.

(16,149 posts)Oh, and only eat 1 small can per day. All you worthless moochers to The Very Serious Extortionists, aka "The 1%." Sucking at the Gov't teet. Wish I was joking, but you know how "bipartisanship" rolls in DC...

I am so sick and tired of both political parties fucking us over.
This whole thing was a bunch of bullshit, kabuki theater or whatever you want to call it.
People need to wake up and realize Washington politicians are the enemies.

(881 posts)Yep.
The GOP threw itself into disarray and allowed its approval rating to plummet to a record low to help the Democrats save face on massive austerity.

(11,481 posts)Nothing's set in stone yet, but I expect the "deal" will be something like this. Simpson-Bowles is back in the picture too. I swear that particular discredited plan ought to be called the "Zombie Commission" rather than the "Catfood Commission" because IT WILL NOT DIE! No matter how many times it's rejected, it pops back up. Or maybe the "Zombie Catfood Commission".
I've written at least two articles for the Worker's Power web site about this whole farce, the first on the Ryan plan back when he was running for Veep and the second back in May of this year.
