(26,549 posts)Weakening themselves gives Reid a much better negotiating position in the coming months, to reverse the worst of the sequester.
We won't be able to repeal the entire sequester unless we win the House in 2014. Again, Republicans damaging themselves makes that actually possible.
So while today continues to suck, recent events make it possible for tomorrow to be better.
