After the shutdown debacle, the tea party's approval rating is 23 percent.

The irreducible minimum is 23%. Not quite as bad as I thought. I'd have guessed about 32%.

I saw that in a poll this morning.

Since about 30% of America consider themselves "conservatives", that means about 22% of Republicans nationwide do not approve of them.
