Ans I get a response questioning me, and telling me that they find it "strange" and basically how come I was so infatuated with US at that age.

Its ok, I won't go there again.

How can it not be? In my heart I always belonged here. Even as a lil girl. Call it esoteric, or just mundane. I have always dreamed of living here. No one could understand it.

I didn't see the other thread so I really can't comment. I hope this country has lived up to your expectations. When I was growing up here I couldn't imagine living in another country. Now I would really love that opportunity (obviously depending upon the country). But this is a much different place than it was in the 1970s.
