Most authors go on the road from show to show promoting it in fact.

13. Matthews' book pandering has been occupying more and more of his on-air time.

With this latest Tip/Gip tome, Matthews seems desperate, practically bathed in flop sweat, like the publishers are threatening his family if he doesn't make a certain sales quota. It's unseemly, and it's why I've stopped watching him for the time being. I'll put up with his constant, manic interruption of his guests, but the non-stop book-whoring is just too much.....

I think Chris got job scared after all the moving around by Ed Schultz. I think he was not happy to move to just the 7pm slot. He is trying to prove he has a huge following of fans...because he is worried he is next out the door.....

15. Evidently, Matthews is lacking one thing at the moment:

A producer to sit him down, pour him a Tip-sized belt of whiskey, and tell him that his on-air anxieties and book-pimping are making things worse for him. If I want on-edge TV drama, I'll watch repeats of "Breaking Bad," not "Why Don't You Shut The Fuck Up" Matthews (as he's affectionately known in my household)......

me sick how some people supposedly on the Left have rose-colored glasses of his presidency. To me, his administration sounded like an absolute nightmare for poor Americans and Blacks, as he was the one who started the whole trickle-down scam that continues to plague the country today, and his administration cracked down on the Black Panthers.

17. Reagan and his southern strategy is what kills me.

He was an actor playing the role of president as far as I'm concerned. When people deify him it causes the bile to rise to my throat and chokes me. Not to mention the stupid drug war escalation, the dumb ass dare program, him pretending that aids was just a gay thing and requiring increased sentencing for sales of crack compared to cocaine. Gotta give more time in jail for the 'black' drug, right?
Iran contra was a clusterfuck and he sat there and lied about it. And look what a wonderful legacy he left us; GHWB and GWB. Thanks a lot Reagan, we loved it when your partners little brat crashed the economy and gave us two wonderful wars to suffer through and pay for.
I blame Reagan for all of it. Worst president ever!
And Tweety just loves the shit out of this cadaver. Blows my mind.

Hope it subsides after his plugging tour is over. Even on NPR today, which is my go to oasis from such crap.

I don't hate Tweety, but he does turn me and my remote off on several occasions.
