Those who are interested in reading about cats and kittens could go straight to the threads saving all the reading of the political crap on the DU and those who are not so interested in cats and kittens could just avoid them .....

Posters who do not clearly indicate in the subject line that the post is deficient in cats/kittens should be nuked. Posters who are flippant or dismissive of cats/kittens should be nuked. Posters who do not (at least occasionally) post cat/kitten threads should be nuked. Also, we should have a cat/kitten forum to house overflow cat/kitten posts. Two such forums would be better...

I am now a thorough convert and have written 4 threads on Nikita's kids for cat-savvy people. Therefore, I have to side with placing the threads where the author thinks it is most appropriate. I personally did label my threads for cat-savvy DU'ers, but that was my personal preference and I do not think it should be a requirement.
