her in-laws asked what she wanted most for the little one, and she suggested family memberships to the local zoo and museums.

1. I always tell people the best thing they can get for my 15 year old is a Subway gift card.

He's addicted. We combine them with coupons that come out just about every week and he's in heaven.

4. Yup! And, when my niece got her license and first car (*sob!) I sent her a gas card.

Now that she's in college (double sob--they grow up so fast), gas cards come in handy for commuters.

2. Great recs. We have asked for museum memberships twice, and they

are invaluable. One of the best gifts we've gotten, because we use it year 'round, and our museum is great. It's so nice to have that membership and be able to go any time, for however long you want, and know you can come back whenever without having to worry about admission cost.
