Should Left Wing groups be paying people to spread Liberal Ideas on message boards?

I mean we have read the news about Fox and others doing this - is this a tactic we should be using as well?

If someone wants to self identify as a professional poster, I have no problem with it. It's the sock puppets that I think undermine the message.

herd mentality, it's time to put a herd of liberals out there so the baggers don't look so numerous. After we win the contest, we can try education to keep liberal ideas going.

We don't need to pay anyone to do promote our agenda, which is in the interests of the the overwhelming majority of people on the planet.

The work of the conservative propagandist is to deceive people into thinking and acting against their own interests for the material profit of a few.

analogous to Freedom Works, for example. Left wing groups exist mainly in the conspiracy crazed minds of people like Jim DeMint and the Koch brothers.

But there are a few think tanks / former campaigns that could probably afford to pay a few sock puppet interns or students. Obama for America for example.

the Obama for America is trolling DU, but this place is way left of OFA. Left wing billionaires are hard to imagine. The left in this country have been pretty much wiped out.

Sometimes it is hard to articulate why you are for or against something. After reading the comments on a website you might build your arsenal for debating and possibly changing opinions. I assume the "professionals" would do a good job at getting a clear message out. I vote yes

TAWNY
Sam, have you heard of Andrew Hawkins?

SAM
No.

TAWNY
You funded his performance piece recently, which involved him destroying all his belongings outside a Starbucks in Haight-Ashbury.

SAM
I've done that a couple of times. But I didn't know there was funding available.
