some of the mega churches are that size because they are meant to hold 20,000 people, and have other sorts of services for them (schools, clinics, etc) Some service can dwarf a lot of rock concerts, and indeed, some mega-churches actually serve as arenas on the off days. This Bishop had no buisness makign a PERSONAL RESIDENCE that big.

Which is why I generally despise megachurches. They're traditionally just giant homophobe factories with no genuine service to the community.
Not saying there aren't some that do serve the community--in fact, I attend a local job finding service at such a church--but those seem to be the exception, not the rule.
