Graham says McConnell's speech blasting Trump after trial will haunt GOP in 2022 midterms![]() Christal Hayes, Nicholas Wu, and Bart Jansen USA TODAY Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Sunday he thought Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s speech blasting former President Donald Trump would be used against Republicans in campaign ads next year when the party fights to reclaim the Senate. “He got a load off his chest, obviously, but unfortunately he put a load on the back of Republicans,” Graham, a staunch Trump defender, told Fox News Sunday. “That speech you will see in 2022 campaigns.” Although McConnell, R-Ky., voted for acquittal, he said Trump's "crescendo of conspiracy theories" and false claims of a stolen election led to the riots in which his supporters rampaged through Capitol, bloodied police, tried to hunt down House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and chanted about murdering Vice President Mike Pence. “They did this because they had been fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on earth because he was angry he had lost an election,” McConnell said. “Former President Trump’s actions preceded the riot for a disgraceful dereliction of duty.” more https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/02/14/live-politics-updates-congress-looks-forward-after-trump-impeachment/4477714001/

14. McTurtle again showed he's only interested in his position, less so even for the Republican party.
And that's a good thing since Little Lindsey's bitch is quite true and will bite many a R senator and representative in their asses!

7. Lindsey wants Mitch's position when the Democrats add more seats in the Senatein 2022.
For Lindsey Graham wants power and status.
The problem he has in interfering in Georgia will keep Graham in the hot seats. |

8. Once Senator Whitehouse
went the Witness Route, you just knew a deal would be cut. It was all about saving face in order to advance Cabinet Picks and Covid 19 legislation.
Now watch the Graham,Cruz,Rubio,Johnson,Hawley, and Kennedy put holds on every Cabinet Nominee as well as block Covid Relief Legislation. Said this before,McConnell will stab Schummer in the back like he did to Reid. There simply is zero bipartisan with this crew. The Twelve Remaining Senators who voted to take out Clinton are not done with their Destruction of our Nation. |

13. Covid relief is going through reconcilliation
so they can't block it. And if they start blocking appointees, the Dems will end the filibuster.
They will try, we can stop them. |

15. So hoping the friggin
filibuster rule goes away like yesterday. Filibuster rule is the one major rule that keeps on giving to the Kluckers in the Senate.

9. That's not what's going to come back to haunt y'all, dumbfuck.
Your own putrid votes to let that ratbastard off the hook are what's going to do you in. The vast majority of the country wanted Trump convicted, yet you spit in our faces, and you took a huge steaming dump on our democracy. Don't think we haven't noticed.

10. What will hurt them quite a bit more is the loss of corporate donors...
Announced after Jan 6th. However, now that Trump's actions have been absolved, those corporations may reconsider their stand. It's always all about the $$.

You want him to get on his knees and blow him too? Christ.

16. Meh. In two years repub voters won't remember January 6th, at all, or anyone's reaction to it.
They will be ramped up on hate & anger at Biden & all the awful things he & his administration have done, according to the media. And all those people fleeing the repub party, according to recent stories, they are a drop in the bucket to the 11 million more people who voted for Trump in 2020 than in 2016. The message of "white America" resonates with way more people than we like to think.

We outnumber the fascists greatly. Now is not the time to give up. We aren’t bystanders to fate.
