It was entertaining, but it seemed like a 2 hour commercial for Doomsday Preppers. NuclearDem Oct 2013 #3

Kind of reminded me of the style of a Paranormal Activity or Chernobyl Diaries. My wife wouldn't let me see the whole thing so I turned it off right when the father came out of the family bunker trying to protect their fuel supplies.

What's up with NatGeo and this Doomsday kick lately. LOL.

Only thing I learned is I need to get a battery backup supply for our solar array. Another thing I learned. Stock up on flashlight batteries, bottled water and guns. LOL.

Did you see Marie Osmond in that commercial selling 7-day food rations? You can pay like $60 per month to get these supplies of food so you'll be ready for the next apocalyptic event like another one of these crazy shows. LOL.

Personally, I'm not worried. Why go through life so friggin paranoid the world's gonna end? You'll worry your whole life and before you know it you're old and dead before anything happens.

Just party instead. LOL.

who's stressing over Fukushima. There's really not a darn thing we can do about it. We can maybe put pressure on appropriate people in this country to do something about OUR environmental issues, but Japan? Out of our control. And I'm not ready to move underground like some kind of Morlock.

Sitting around riffing it MST3K-style with my folks was fun though.

But I wonder how much you could really do to prepare for such a disaster. After all, even the "prepper" types are now dealing with their compound being overrun.
