The sky opened up here at about 5:00pm. I was looking forward to giving out the little bags of toys and candy I made. And maybe going "boo" at the trick or treater a few times LOL. I love Halloween, but this one is a bust.

Be it candy or trinkets etc many little kids would be thrilled to find something tucked in their food pantry box. Most of us do not need to consume all those lollipops yet how many little kids never get much of a treat when the family can barely put beans on the table.
It sounds like you put a lot of thought into your treat bags. Great idea by the way! It must have been fun putting them together even though you did not get to make a lot of kiddies smile.

I'd gladly take them. I love giving the treat bags away. Where should I donate them since it is obviously not going to be any good tonight for door to door?

I put candy and little things in mine, like little plastic rings and necklaces or plastic soldiers. Just dumb stuff to go along with the candy (butterfingers and kit kats)

We are under a tornado and flash flood warning here. Sorry to hear you had such troubles, and I'm sorry we have them here!

The weather just sucks for messing up a good holiday .

They will undoubtedly serve families with children who would appreciate the toys along with the candy.

Whether it's a big county food bank or a little church pantry, they will probably find kids to appreciate it, even if it's a day or two late.

That's my suggestion.

Rainy Halloween sucks. It's always been my favorite holiday

just little plastic rings and necklaces or little toy soldiers, along with candy. That sounds good. We have a food pantry not far from where I work. I hope someone's child will enjoy the little bags I made

Our problem tonight was the wind. We are under Tornado Watch for most of the state and you can tell by the blowing! wow!

So, slow trick or treat here tonight, too! Just a few of the little ones that drive from friends house to friends house instead of walking in their neighborhoods. (Well, the parents drive, of course)
