Are there any ACA experts out there who care to shoot this down?

Current insurance :
$475 a month
$2500 deductible
OBAMA CARE:
$775 a month
$13500 deductible
Now please explain to me ..... How is this affordable health care?

This tea bagger is in Texas, so there's that, and, off the top of my head, it seems she is conflating total out of pocket with total deductible, but I am not sure, and know there are others here *WAY* better at this than me.

But...if she's not a lying sack of shit...tell her to stick with her current plan. Or, tell her that you'll need to know specifics (including income) before you can judge her claim.

I think it's bullshit, though.

I believe that's all that needs to go into the calculator.

Also, they should specify which provider and which level, silver, gold, etc.

Without that information it's bullshit.

And even if the figures were correct, the quality of coverage, the details, would probably be miles apart.
