I was thinking …

After republican after republican paraded all those “constituient ObamaCare horror stories” during the hearing, the Democrats on the oversight committee missed a great promotional opportunity ... they should have asked Sebelius a simple question, that would have gotten far more mileage out of this rate shock nonsense, than the anti-ACA media could garner. …

Someone should have asked (and it's not too late):

Secretary Sebelius, my concerned brethren and sistern have offered what looks like hundreds of constituient complaints suggesting they have lost the plans, they apparently like, and are finding significant bumps in their coverage costs, albeit for much better coverage (which has gone unacknowledged).

But be that as it may, Secretary Sebelius, if my concerned colleagues will provide you with the contact information for these constituients, will you see to it that a HHS “guide” will contact each of these constitutients and guide them through the process? And after doing so, report back to this committee the result?

It seems to me, we are experiencing some alternate reality where the vast majority of those that are getting these cancellation notices; but favor ObamaCare are, with a little effort, able to navigate the system and are finding they are getting better coverage at a much reduced rate; whereas, those having trouble and/or experiencing rate-shock, tend to be against the law in the first case. I think your doing so will help clear this up.

I think by doing this, the issue will fall off the front page, as these rate shocked folks quietly (and happily) accept the insurance coverage.

It really is all about bias here, especially the Tea Party. They are like dogs with bones. If it passes then try to block it, if you can't block it, find that it does not work in any fashion, or just see the flaws. They little realize that if the web sites are so jammed that means many are trying to sign up. If everyone hated it and didn't try to sign up, the web site would not be jammed. But consistency is never a right wing strong suit.

privacy and identity theft fear mongering.

they are conveniently terrified about providing any personal information to the government regarding the ACA because the internet boogeymen are ready to take that information and steal their identities.

Remember it doesn't have to make sense to you and it doesn't have to make sense to me, it only has to make sense to the knuckle draggers who watch fox news and listen to right wing talk radio.
