This is disturbing on so many levels.Holly Hill police say a family of five, including several children, were squatting in a home with a decomposing body, and have been collecting the dead woman's disability benefits.
Officers made the discovery Thursday, when the Department of Children and Families asked police to conduct a well-being check on Tiffany Kain, a 33-year-old who suffered from spina bifida, said Chief Mark Barker.
When police responded to a home on Ridgewood Avenue, they smelled a foul odor and immediately became suspicious, a police report said. They peered through a bedroom window and saw a decaying body.
Officers then found Todd LaDuke, Nicole Scalise and their three children, and determined the family has been squatting in the residence.
The home was filthy and in disarray, according to the report. Officers said there were "piles" of animal feces and urine throughout the house and mounds of garbage.

(2,952 posts)Huge news....I don't know but they look like tweekers...I'm saying this as someone who worked with long and short term addiction programs and addicts....
Meth is a helluva' drug.....
I don't mean to sound so, I don't know....neutral maybe....about this...man I've heard and seen the effects drugs have on people, but for gods sake, this beats every horror story I heard from all the addicts I worked with for nearly 8 years...and this is like 8 blocks from my home! I'm going to have a hard time not wishing something terrible on these two "parents"

I think any time my kids complain about anything, I'll make them read this story.
