After four and a half years, we now KNOW: It's useless to "reassure Wall Street"

This Democratic president did everything he could, over and over and over again, to make sure that Wall Street and the financial-industrial complex knew that, even as a "progressive", he would put THEIR interests before everyone else's....including 90% of the people who elected him.

Despite this, Wall Street has refused, over and over and over again, to do what it was supposed to do in response, and that is to do what it claims to be its normal work: "creating jobs" and "boosting the economy".

These two facts prove, once and for all, that it is utterly pointless for any non-reactionary president to even bother trying to reassure and win the approval of Big Bull and Big Vault. Nobody there was ever going to work with a Democratic president, and nothing anybody in that sector would do would ever be designed to bring anything better to the lives of people who actually vote FOR Democrats, even those Democrats who call themselves "moderates".

From now on, the president and any future Democratic or other "progressive" successor should treat the financial and business sector as simply ONE part of American life, not as gods who walk the Earth and who must constantly be appeased. The Democratic Party exists to send THIS message: the needs and hopes of ALL people matter equally, not just those needs and hopes that make the few more privileged.

OK?
