Why does the United States have people going hungry when

we give BILLIONS to oil companies that are ALREADY making BILLIONS of dollars? How come we can spend 100's of millions of dollars on the poor of OTHER countries to provide health and food, but can't take care of our own? How come we can spend BILLIONS of dollars on military equipment, but can't provide the care and other assistance needed for our service and ex-service PEOPLE?
How in HELL can the republicans cut food stamps, health care, and lots more cutting that hurts the poor? Are they really, really that CRAZY? (ok, that last one says it.)
Now, take a look at how much money is given to politicians campaigns by all the big companies, oil, food, insurance, investors, and on and on! Is there any possible way of changing this? (oh, just how many politicians, including many Dems) would be willing go give all that up?

Democrats Protest $5 Billion Food Stamp Cut They Voted For
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/29/food-stamp-cuts_n_4173942.html

WASHINGTON -- A group of nine Democratic members of the House of Representatives held a press conference outside the Capitol on Tuesday to demand Congress avert an automatic food stamp cut scheduled to take effect on Friday.

"The average family of four will see a $36 cut in their monthly benefits, bringing the average per-person benefit from $1.50 a meal to $1.40 a meal," Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) said. "Shame on this Congress for allowing this to happen."

But the cut, which will reduce monthly benefits for all 47 million Americans enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program by roughly 7 percent, is happening thanks mainly to Democratic votes that hastened the demise of a benefit increase from the 2009 stimulus bill. Each of the representatives at Tuesday's presser voted with their party for a pair of 2010 spending bills that set the cuts in motion.

5. The Ones Who Can Help Are Never Hungry
Mon Nov 4, 2013, 01:39 PM

Many have never had ti skip a meal or see their kids go to bed hungry. They have never stood in a line to get a free bag of food to help through the end of the month.
These same maggots do not do anything unless it benefits them. While they "do their civic duty" donating food, helping with free health care in foreign lands they are also behind the curtain seeing what they can buy or steal from them when no one is looking or when they have their guards down. War and hunger make people a little more willing to accept from others they would not do if times were normal.
The poor and hungry here have zip to offer the big corporations. They don't have land, huge oil reserves or a landing strip that could be used for war. Until they do the hungry, poor and sick will be considered little more than leeches trying to gnaw away at the vast stockpiles of wealth of the wealthy.

enough to actually fight for them. The Senate budget cut food stamps as well, less than the GOP budget, but it did.

Democrats are all about the middle class. Nobody cares about the poor.

I mean people that are people are white, Christian and conservative. Those people that are hungry are not.

The people who are hungry are lazy and don't want to work for a living.

A person making a $50,000 salary pays 10 cents a day in taxes for food stamps while corporate welfare costs every American family $6,000 per year.

Today is the day. The GOP/Tea Party cuts to food stamps are now in effect and millions of Americans will have to make do with less.

People have grown numb to the suffering of other people. They assume that there is always some other solution will be found. They don't really in their hearts want to confront nor can they understand the fear and pain of "hunger." All those proud patriots chanting USA, USA, couldn't fathom the enigma of a country that is so blessed with plenty, would prefer to toss it into the garbage, rather then find a workable solution to people's hunger. Denial and blame is the quicker fix.

add a category to the mental health index for people who think this way,
right next to chronic public masturbaters or something.
