(18,402 posts)a response to some email I sent about a bill regarding veterans' rights or something. I had to read it six times to convince myself it really wasn't a form letter. I was impressed. I'd never gotten a real response from any politican before, ever.

(1,935 posts)When President Obama was my Senator he replied directly to my e-mails with responses that were directed to my e-mail point by point. They were not form letters. They only time I have had that happen was when my U.S. Representative was a childhood friend. Too bad he is now (retired) a lobbyist.

(27,985 posts)Why, oh why, do I leave these for the last minute? Ugh. At least one is a Tim Eyman (local doofus from way back- these days they would call him a teabagger but we called him the idiot who just won't stop) so that's one less initiative I have to study. Eyman = No.
