Despite all the wailing and gnashing of teeth, Richie Incognito will probably be back in the NFL ...

and making more way money than Jonathan Martin. Is it right? Fuck no! But I don't live in the world of "what's right". I abide in the world of "what is.
Incognito has been a bad guy for years. Some NFL teams had him labeled DNDC (Do Not Draft Character) when he came out of Nebraska. But he has played in multiple Pro Bowls, and like it or not, the NFL will always opt for the guy who can ball as opposed to the 2nd year solid citizen.
Sucks, but that's the way it is, and anyone who bleats that "He'll never play again" doesn't know what they're talking about.

The NFL operates to make money, they are now likely to be slapped with a multimillion dollar lawsuit because of him. If the NFL were able to wash their hands of him then they would hire him back but if he costs them money he is gone and right now he is costing them money.

He'll probably get an indefinite suspension from the NFL, just so they can cover their ass. And even if the suspension is eventually lifted, no team is going to take on that liability for an average player. I think his career is toast.

Leonard Little: Felony manslaughter
Ray Lewis: Obstruction of Justice
Christian peter: Sexual Assault
Pacman Jones: FUCK! Too many to count!
Jamal Lewis: Drug distribution
Tank Johnson: Aggravated assault
Donte Stallworth: Manslaughter

And I could go on. The point is that each of the above-named individuals was convicted of a crime, and then returned to play in the NFL. Richie Incognito hasn't been convicted of anything, but you believe that the NFL will suddenly get religion and cut loose a multi-time Pro Bowler because he's not a nice guy?

And Incognito has been suspended for a few hours now. An appeal, if one is forthcoming, takes time to draft.
I personally want the fucker gone, but I get the feeling that you don't know much about how the process plays out.

The NFL investigation is being led Adolpho Birch, NFL senior V.P. of labor law and policy. He created the Code of Conduct policy.

Incognito may have broken workplace labor laws concerning harassment and other areas. His conduct could be viewed as extortion, stalking, and hate crimes. I doubt if he will skate on the workplace issues.

It is a workplace whether morons believe it or not. Their protests of 'that's the way football is' and 'he was a good guy' won't cut it. What he did is well beyond the normal hazing that occurs.

DAVIE – In the macho, testosterone-filled NFL, Dolphins guard Richie Incognito is a guy you want on your team. Or at least that’s what the Dolphins would lead you to believe.

Incognito, the Pro Bowl guard, is almost universally loved in the Dolphins’ lockerroom.

I say “almost” because I have a feeling tackle Jonathan Martin might not feel the same way.

The key is Martin’s teammates seem to feel that way.

Richie Incognito's bully reputation goes back to 2002
Brent Schrotenboer, USA TODAY Sports 11:11 a.m. EST November 5, 2013

Richie Incognito once bullied a teammate so badly that the teammate suddenly got up from the ground and stomped out of football practice.

It was early 2002 — long before Incognito was accused of similar behavior with the Miami Dolphins. Incognito was just a freshman at Nebraska, but that didn't stop him from picking fights or harassing teammates, in this case a non-scholarship offensive lineman named Jack Limbaugh. Incognito plowed into Limbaugh's back during practice, knocking him to the ground for no apparent reason.

Limbaugh responded by getting up, grabbing his equipment and walking out, according to the diary of teammate David Kolowski.

With Incognito’s history of being dumped after just a few seasons by more than one team, he may just be termed a “locker-room hazard”, like Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco), Terrell Owens, and Plaxico Burress … each had the talent to continue in their careers; but teams, shunned them as too disruptive.

It’s a lot easier for teams to take a chance on/ignore the antics of players that do stupid stuff off of the field/outsider the locker-room (see: PacMan Jones).
