Are Fairfax, Broward, and Cuyahoga Counties the most famous counties?

Seems like we always hear about them coming in late to dash the hopes of neophyte Republicans.

Any others in the big top 5 you're always hearing about during election coverage?

Yeah, I guess that's probably true. Downstate and corn people vote R and Chicagoland votes D.

Not cities, not towns, not states. Counties.

I personally can't think of any other county in the entire country that is as associated with politics and especially election night vote returns as Cook County.

If you have to ask which state it's in, you don't know politics, and you really don't know Dem politics.

if that is the one you meant. So it turns out I DO know politics--I was just trying to ascertain whether YOU did.

Also, despite the fact that Cook was famous in the past (usually used in the pejorative against Dems--vote early and often--by Repukes).

Every 4 years, the gasbags on teevee claim that PA is a "swing state" and "coulda, woulda, shoulda" gone for a rethug President. Just tonight, even Chris Hayes started up the same shit about PA possibly going for Christie if he ran in 2016.

Yet this hasn't happened and the last rethug President PA elected was Poppy in 1988 - thanks to Philadelphia.

I heard it reportedly being the bluest county in the US during the 2012 Election. I mourn the fact that GA is still a solid Red State, but The way the electorate is trending in GA, particularly metro Atlanta, we will be purple soon!

I watched The History of KKK on Youtube someone linked. I saw that the KKK was revived on TWO DIFFERENT occasions with meetings held at Stone Mountain.
