Watch the flop sweat: Tea Party News Network spinning VA Gov. as a "victory"

I link to this wretched hive of scum and villainy only to have you join me in mocking it:

http://www.tpnn.com/virginia-governor-race-a-huge-victory-for-the-tea-party/

The Virginia gubernatorial race was a huge victory for the Tea Party movement. Wait a minute! Democrat McAuliffe “won,” you say. How could this be a victory for the Tea Party movement and a positive precursor for the 2014 mid-terms? Here’s how:

...

The Virginia gubernatorial race should have been a landslide for democrats. They outspent by wide margins. They were so desperate that they had to cheat to win. They had to revert to sleazy tactics, unable to honorably win on the issues. Democrats recently had a gargantuan lead, and they lost it, largely because of Obamacare.

The GOP’s lack of support for this race sent a message that they would rather lose, than support a candidate who they deem as “too conservative,” i.e., someone who actually upholds their own party principles. Watch for the blame game to start. The RINO establishment will blame the Tea Party. The Democrat Communist Progressives will blame the Tea Party. The reality is that despite the Democrat’s cheating and the complete lack of RINO support, the Tea Party still made this an extremely close race, with Cuccinelli losing by only three percent.

Blah blah, the Libertarian was a plant, ACORN, McAulliffe should have won by a lot more, etc. Man, if all the post-mortems are like this, it's going to be a fun few days...

So, I'm sitting here just shaking my head.

There really is a Tea Party News Network?

The Tea Party News Network, however, must not be confused with the Tea Party Network News (they hate each other; there are three main funding sources for "tea party" branded stuff, and they spend as much energy attacking the other two as they do Democrats...)

Tea Party News Network vs Tea Party Network News

I remember when they were fighting over who was the real Tea Party. Have they figured that one out yet?

I can see trying to look at the bright side of an issue, but it really boiled down to - there were basically two choices and the one that usually won lost. So they blame an independent.

It is never 'hey, maybe some people don't like our take on issues, let's address that and see how to address those issues'. Blame someone else, claim you won, and keep selling the same product that people are finding a bitter taste to.

Could be folks who didn't like your message but liked the party in general didn't show up, and those who hated it did.

The last election in 2009 was 58%-41% for the current republican gov. 17+% change from 4 years ago. That third party guy didn't make up that many votes.

And from CNN:

And no, Cuccinelli can't blame his loss on scandal-plagued outgoing GOP Gov. Bob McDonnell or third-party libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis.

Despite his scandals, Virginia voters said they approve of McDonnell's job performance by 12 points, 53% to 41%. And if Sarvis had not been in the race, exit polls indicate McAuliffe still would have beaten Cuccinelli by two points, 48% to 46%.

Fact is, people didn't like the tea bagging idiot.
