What Does GOP Do Once Website is Fixed?

National Journal: "Beating up on Obamacare is the easy part. But eventually, many Republicans acknowledge, the website will be fixed, new enrollees will spike, cancellation letters will cease, and the sting of the Affordable Care Act's ugly implementation will fade. At some point, Republicans will have to address the one Democratic rebuttal that cuts deepest: What is the Republican alternative?"

They're pissed off about the "big government" solution that IS the Affordable Care Act (I know, I know). But when the private sector starts kicking people off their insurance plans -- without being required to do so -- suddenly they want Obama to do something about it.

Make up your fucking minds, you idiots.

there will be the birther types who will rail against it for years and years as their own personal mission, but once it really startes to be in full effect in 2014, it will be like when Obama released his long form birth certificate and nailed Osama bin Laden. Will kind of take the wind out of the sails of most attackers.

Fall back on the "socialism", "too expensive", "takes our freedom"... memes that have worked pretty well with their Faithful.

If you imagine that reality is going to make the Repubs pull back.....

We know it's coming.

And all I can say is, "Please Proceed!"

That should put the final stake in the heart of the Tea Pukes.

Once they've pushed one bubble to the top and it bursts, another one is right behind it.

The stuff it's made from doesn't actually leave, it just flows back down to be recycled into another dollop of foam

ACA WILL work.

By next spring, the current website problems will have been long resolved and the GOP won't have "Obamacare" as a talking point for the midterm elections.

To all those who say ACA is unraveling ... no, only a few myopic Democrats are unraveling. And they should just chill out.

By the spring of 2014, the GOP will have to find/invent a new "scandal" to run on.

So long as people keep posting panic threads, I'm going to keep kicking this thread!

so damned predictable, I wonder if they even See how repetitive they are. Every single time there is a glimpse of hope that Obama is to Fail, they just can't control themselves. It's sort of entertaining but also frightening.

The midterm elections are a YEAR away.

The current "problems" will be fixed by early spring, or sooner.

But the GOP will still be pissing off voters next spring, summer, and fall with their war on the poor, the middle class, unions, women, African Americans, Latinos, and on and on.

So why are some of our Democratic Senators and House Reps freaking out? Can't they see beyond the next few weeks?

I wish someone like Rachel or Lawrence or Martin Bashir would address this reality that you and I both see and disabuse those worried Democrats of their unfounded fears.

Really!

They'll eventually tire of fighting the ACA and start a new wave of attacks against something else.

What else, you ask? It doesn't matter. They're against everything. They never run out of material.
