IMO one of the most objectionable parts of the "targeted killing program" is the non-reviewability

of executive decisions.

Let's assume there is truly some immanent threat that required immediate lethal force to be used (in a "warzone" legal framework or whatever).

There is absolutely NO justification for being intransparent about what actions were taken and why. Basically, if there is really a "ticking bomb" scenario going on, at the very least it should be retro-actively be possible for the US citizenry to check whether this truly was the case, and if it later turns out the system was abused then there should be serious consequences, up to impeachments and criminal charges etc.

IMO everything else is completely unacceptable.
