Obama Says He Would Never Have Dumped Biden

President Obama dismissed a report in Double Down that his campaign poll-tested dumping Joe Biden in favor of "as would-be leakers trying to 'seem important.' But he said he would have flatly rejected the suggestion of removing Biden from his team," NBC News reports.

Said Obama: "If they had asked me, I would have said there is no way that I am not running again with Joe Biden."

I'm glad the bullet wasn't necessary. This team works imo. babylonsister Nov 2013 #2

if he has the political strength to win reelection. That is done by polling him with various VP candidates. He doesn't direct this work, he only uses the result. There was a lot on the line in that election, esp. Obamacare. I like Biden, but if the polling showed Biden would hurt the reelection campaign and someone else would help it, for me that tips the decision to replacing Biden. I'm glad it worked out with Biden being retained, but he understood when he was initially selected that he could be called upon to take a bullet for the team.
