His fawning over Christie yesterday was embarrassing. "CC is a moderate. He built a coalition. Blah, blah blah."
Tweety is setting the boundaries for what will be acceptable on his show when talking about CC. He's letting people know what the CC narrative will be going forward on Hardball. Let's hope his frequent guests like Joy Reid who have no problem exposing CC's do-nothing, ultra-conservative record on other MSNBC shows will not hold back when they appear on Hardball.
It's disappointing to see Matthews - who has finally embraced his liberal roots in the past few years - giving CC a pass on discussing his ACTUAL record in NJ.

(4,458 posts)Tweety---I won't. I don't need to hear his opinion-I don't need his "help" in determining how I should think about policies, politics and politicians. I believe he's "part" of the larger problem...

(11,014 posts)I remember his total acceptance of the criticisms of Sen. Blumenthal, even after they were exposed as fabrications. I blame his staff. I think he has staff that tell him things that don't do him justice.
And, he has to prop up the right to make money. Nobody buys ads if there is just one party.

(9,580 posts)I watched a good part of it, although not all, yesterday. I didn't see him fawning over Chris Christie. I think people like to jump on him for anything he says.
