Does this meme cross the line?

I "liked" the above photo on Facebook, not realizing that it would appear in my Timeline, but then I was stunned when a good friend asked me if I hated Obamacare. Someone who has known me for 15 years and knows how enthusiastic I've been about President Obama and the ACA.

In my opinion, the photo is obvious satire but maybe others don't see it that way?

It kept if from being another myspace. Since they opened it to all, it's gone downhill fast.

Blockbuster faltered due to changing market demand. They didn't do streaming when everyone else did. THEIR fuckup, not caused by ACA.

Besides, this why I never go on facebook anymore; that they have a need to tell all my friends, their friends, and so on, that I (((gasp))) clicked 'like' on something! Google+ is getting to be a pain as well!

7. It's not obvious satire to many, probably most, people.

Hell, I have a great nose for satire, and I'm not at all sure that the creator of this graphic doesn't want people to believe it as fact. If I had to bet, I'd probably bet that they DO want people to believe it as fact.

If someone wanted it to be a satirical "thanks Obama" moment, they would have said just that, rather than inserting a "fact" statement.

And some people are so lacking in critical thinking skills that it will never occur to them that Netflix, Hulu and Pay-Per-View TV and Amazon have provided stiff competition to BlockBuster.

Many right wingers blame everything not to their liking on President Obama and lately, business failings and insurance cancellations on Obamacare. So the satire, if it is meant to be that, can easily escape those predisposed to blame things on Obama/Obamacare.

you can make out the satire but, many will just read the headline and the thanks to OBAMACARE! and believe it.

I mean, only a moron wouldn't understand why Video Stores have disappeared, same as record stores.

But there are a lot of morons out there.

It's simply inaccurate. Blockbuster has been losing ground and moving towards bankruptcy/shutting down for some years now, long before the ACA.

It's stopped being cute, all these supposedly satirical "Blame Obamacare" things.
