Arizona Senate approves lying to women to prevent abortions

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/03/08/arizona-senate-approves-lying-to-women-to-prevent-abortions/

The Arizona Senate on Tuesday approved a bill that would allow doctors withhold information about prenatal problems if it could make the decision to have an abortion more likely.

Republican state Sen. Nancy Barto introduced the measure to protect doctors from so-called “wrongful birth” lawsuits.

If my doctor withheld information about prenatal problems, I would not only sue him, but the entire Arizona Senate as well.

This is interfering with the doctor/patient relationship. It allows the legislature to practice medicine. It is wrong.

Disgusting.

why in the fuck would any woman in this nation want to vote for a Republican. I am not a woman but I have a wife who had to have an abortion to save her life. I also have a beautiful 15 year old daughter who is just now entering into her full sexual bloom. Would I want her to have access to contraception denied, hell no! Would I want some self righteous republican asshole doctor jeapordizing her health and with holding info, just so she complies with his religious beliefs, fuck no!!!!

The sorrow of all this is that 40% plus women will vote for the asswipe the repukes pick this summer, I don't understand it!!!!!

my wife is pregnant goes to the doctor discovers that there may be a problem that could cost my wife her life but the doctor keeps it a secret because we might abort

My wife dies in childbirth I later find out this could've been prevented but the doctor kept it secret

I then kill the motherfucker, I leave his corpse laying in the street in a pool of his own blood. Still not justice in my mind but I would feel little better

These doctors are putting their life at risk when the fuck around like this.

Any physician who knowingly withholds information like this bill is mandating could be in a bit of trouble, with good reason.

go to jail. Withholding info is against medical ethics and I'd wouldn't stop until the son of bitch doctor was begging for mercy.

Next it will be OK for elected officials to lie about anything that could otherwise make them look bad.
