If over 10,000 people died here in the US we would be all over ourselves!

we have several break-areas where TV's are tuned to CNN, MSNBC (do they still call it that?) and FoxNewsChannel pretty much all day and just about every time today that I walked past... they were talking about the impact of Haiyan. Even the weather channel was covering it...

the Weather Channel covered the storm the best, as they should have.

And I have TV on most of the day, it's certainly not wall to wall coverage.

I think the coverage has been horrendous, a few minutes on NBC Nightly News and a few moments here and there. What happened in the Philippines is an epic tragedy and we are fixated on a presidential race over four years away and a screwed-up website.

We need to get our priorities straight...

They're poor brown people on the other side of the world. Of course our media won't give it the coverage it deserves.

10,000 dead is an estimate. Three days after the storm only 942 dead have been found.
