Obama Super-PAC: Maher’s Words ‘Vulgar And Inappropriate’ (VIDEO)

http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/03/obama-super-pac-mahers-words-vulgar-and-inappropriate-video.php?ref=fpnewsfeed

Bill Burton, the head of the super PAC backing President Obama’s reelection campaign, responded Thursday to calls from the right and some women’s groups that the PAC should repudiate some of the past language from comedian Bill Maher, who donated $1 million to the PAC last month.

This morning I posted a question what MILF was and did Bill Maher actually say it? This question was asked because I kept getting e-mails from a "Friend" of mine -well ex-friend after our last e-mail.

Now I see why she kept milking this idea.

THOUGH I find MILF CRUDE IT IS IN NO WAY as bad as Limbaugh's B.S. comments and down right disrespect.

IF this is the "BEST" for the Repugs to "combat" with than they are really in deep shit if they continue to protect and support Limbaugh.

We never get it. We don't even understand that we are playing a game, let alone what the rules are.

TPM's spin. Burton was on MSNBC. Burton rejected Maher and the comparisons, but TPM's lede implies that he's responding to "calls" and that somehow Maher represents to Democrats what Limbaugh represents to the GOP. Maher isn't a Democrat, nor is he embraced by Democratic leaders.

Burton's point here is important:

What the de facto leader of the Republican Party said to sexually degrade a woman who led in a political debate of our time is crazy,” Burton said. “There’s no similarity about what Rush Limbaugh said, lying about the argument that Miss Fluke was making, a law student at Georgetown, and what a comedian has said in the past.”

Equating Maher's comments to Limbaugh's is ridiculous enough, and especially since the issue is the public airwaves and a private citizen. Trying to create the impression that Maher is to the Democratic Party what Limbaugh is to the Republican Party is bogus.

After years of watching both parties, I have come to a conclusion that too many share the same interests, and it does nothing for the 99%. They have to pay to play... and it's killing our democracy from within.
