UPDATE 9:36 pm: Julie Carey tweets, "JUST IN: UNOFFICIAL on #FairfaxCo provisionals. Herring 156, Obenshain 100 and 7 ballots left to handcount." And with that, MARK HERRING WILL SHORTLY BE CERTIFIED AS THE WINNER OF THE VIRGINIA ATTORNEY GENERAL'S RACE! Woo-hoo!

Yes, DC has a 24-hour TV newschannel (run by the local ABC affiliate as News8) and a 24-hour radio newschannel (WTOP)...and they're not the same people.

Public meeting of Fairfax Board of Elections to count provisional ballots has begun. 271 provisionals accepted, 218 rejected. All 3-0 unanimous decisions on accepted, 1 ballot 2-1 among rejected. GOP lawyer objects on equal protection grounds. Board dismisses objection. 271 accepted count approved 3-0. Now reading # of ballots rejected into the record. Count will commence momentarily.
