4. It's not a matter of where this "puts the full blame"

It was friggin unnecessary, and insurers could simply have been told they can renew the policies before December 31.

The way Democrats got suckered into this gave the impression that there was a "flaw" in the law as opposed to the insurers being the despicable predators they are.

The concern here is that healthier people are more likely to stay in these pre-Obamacare plans; they're probably more okay with a skimpier benefit package. And that could drive up premiums in the new Obamacare markets. A short-term fix, in other words, could become a longer-term problem for the president's health-care law.

People are being too short-sighted. They're cheering what they perceive is a political win when this "fix" is undermining the law's foundational stability.

The trick was to get republicans to insist that all americans have affordable health care.
A tweek here and a tweak there and the republicans will have no ground to stand on
anymore. they can't be both against the ACA and for it as long as people lose their
health care because they got canceled off their plans. Republicans are getting caught
RED HANDED cheering for people to lose their insurance and insisting that they get
covered and furious again once they are covered under the new rules. Obama just
made MINCE MEAT out of Boehner and his "tea party".

A few million people get to keep their version of a crappy health insurance plan and a President kept his promise.

But keep up the good work, I am sure that negativism will get us all where we want to go.

Oh, I suppose that's the charitable explanation but I'm by no means taking out a mortgage on it.
