And here's why I despise Alec Baldwin. He's a hateful creep

This isn't the first time that he has been caught publicly making horrible slurs.

Alec Baldwin has taken to Twitter to apologize for comments he made Thursday while chasing down a photographer outside his New York City apartment.

TMZ posted a video of the incident in which the actor is heard saying, "Get away from my wife and the baby with the camera." He's then heard calling the photog a "c-ksucking f-g" before getting into his car. The incident took place following news that Baldwin's accused stalker, Genevieve Sabourin, had been sentenced to jail.

and he's a liar as well; he claims he said "fathead" not "f- -"

I wonder if he has substance abuse issues of just an overblown sense of self importance.

until we were reminded that he kept his temper well in check with other men -- It was only women, e.g. people he could

bully without fear of retribution, with whom he "lost his temper" .

I don't know if this applies to Alex Baldwin or not; I'm just thinking that his stalker was a woman

and his daughter, of course, a little girl.

He keeps getting a pass because he's supposed to be a liberal, but I don't appreciate it one bit, no matter who it is. It's obviously a habit with him considering how many times he's done it. What if he'd been caught saying the n-word all these times?

I don't feel sorry for conservative bigots but let's face it, if Kelsey Grammar or another conservative had been caught saying this so many times, we would have raked him over the coals. We're supposed to give Baldwin a pass because he voted for Obama? If someone makes a habit of using gay slurs, they aren't liberal.

Paparrazzi are scum.

But he exposed his bigotry, just like Mel Gibson and others like the dude who played Kramer on Seinfeld (name escapes me).

So fuck Alec Baldwin.

sleeve (so to speak). He definitely wants people to recognize and see him as important.

On the other hand, he doesn't hide behind staff etc.

Not defending his vocabulary or his outbursts…

But he does go out in public without body guards or disguises.

It would really make me angry to be stalked by photographers etc.

You know who also goes out in public but is the nicest, regular guy? Paul McCartney. He is so 'normal', unassuming & sweet.

Those two men are a study in contrasts when it comes to celebrity.

Alec is some loudmouth asshole with an MSNBC show, Francis leads a billion people. Francis says gay people are an attack on God that comes from the devil and he says this with intention to prevent rights for gay people.
Your criticism seems rather selective.
Of the two men, Francis does greater harm and he does so against entire minority groups. For that he is praised daily on DU.

of putting words in my mouth. I like him. I find things that he's saying and doing more admirable than not. I also disagree with him on many issues. You appear to have a blindered, raging hate toward him.

Pope Francis is almost certainly increasing tolerance for LGBT persons and not decreasing it. I disagree with him on marriage equality just as I disagree with him on many other issues including women's equality, but to claim that he's increasing intolerance is horseshit.

Here:

As Illinois House approves gay marriage, speaker cites Pope Francis (+video)

The Illinois House had failed to pass a gay marriage bill twice, but comments by Pope Francis about homosexuality over the summer appear to have had an impact.

<snip>

At least one Catholic lawmaker cited the pope's statement as she explained her recent decision, and Speaker of the House Michael Madigan, also a Catholic, used the pope's words to articulate his own reasons for supporting the bill. Previously, he had been criticized for not pushing hard enough to rally support within his congressional chamber.

Other factors played into the shift that made passage through the House possible Tuesday, including two US Supreme Court decisions this summer in favor of gay marriage, according to observers. But with polls showing public opinion moving toward greater acceptance of gay marriage, the events in Illinois raise questions about whether opposition among Catholic lawmakers could be waning.

Aboard the Papal Airplane (CNN) - Pope Francis said Monday that he will not "judge" gays and lesbians, including gay priests, signaling a shift from his predecessor and offering another sign that the new pope is committed to changing the church's approach to historically marginalized groups.

“If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” Francis said in a wide-ranging news conference aboard the papal plane.

This Pope is preaching greater acceptance. It's a beginning and it's much better than what came before him.
