I'm just so sad. This sucks.

(75,480 posts)The same happened with my husband. He had an end stage disease and we expected him to die down the line, but I always thought there would be hospice care first and he would pass with his family surrounding his bedside.
Instead he came home from a medical treatment he received, dialysis, sat down in his easy chair to watch TV while I made dinner... and died. He couldn't be revived by the EMTs. It was an awful shock because it was sudden and unexpected. However, I finally came to the realization that for him it was a better outcome. He didn't suffer but maybe briefly. I think you should think about it in those terms.
I'm at a loss once again. Jeez. So sorry belatedly...
