I have a job!

Having been one of the rotating chairs in a rape survivors group for the past 8 months, I've been hired as an assistant to a FEMALE psychiatrist. I start work this morning and I've been awake all night shivering in fearful nervous anticipation! Wish me luck!

They were already acquainted with you and you have some familiarity with them, so this is not really a "first day" situation.

Monday & Tuesday went fine, but Wednesday is when I'll acually be meeting Dr. Simms for the first time. I wish this place had emoticon for insomnia lol! Anyway, I hate to be a pain, but wish me luck for this morning!

Met her today for the first time. Turns out she's Jewish like me. (She married a man named Simms.) We got along swimmingly! And I'm thrilled that almost half of her patients are rape survivors like me!

It's going for midnight, and I'm going to bed. I am confident I'll have my first good night's sleep this week!
