Tom Brokaw: Romney was not so "brilliant" at Bain Capital

Tuesday night as we awaited the Super Tuesday results, former NBC anchor made a remark that called into question Romney's business brilliance. An acquaintance informed Brokaw that Romney did well when all the details were already smoothed out, but if there was any wrinkle, that brilliance disappeared. No one else has commented on that yet and I am still looking for a link. Does anyone else remember it?

If this is indeed true, it would be an opportunity for Obama, or surrogates to take apart what is supposed to be Willard's supposed strength.

I've never met an executive that I would call "brilliant", but I've met many that I'd label "lucky".

scrub, scrub....amazing how much pull that fascist has with the NBCs even though he's supposed to have been out the door years ago.

One can only wonder how horribly bad the nation's condition would be now is an uncertain mind like Romney or McCain was in the Presidency. I shudder to wonder.

Was that Rmoney good when negotiations followed a script, basically when he and Bain could dictate terms. He struggled when variables were introduced.

What it means is that he can control from a power position, any good negotiator will always introduce variables, even when negotiating from weakness. At Bain he was negotiating with people who were looking out for their own payout, not what was good for their company. As a world leader he will get some heads of states with the same motives, those looking out for the motherland may eat his lunch.
